Access Database support

You will have access to your online MS Access database. To provide quick access to your stored data, Microsoft released MS Access which is a database engine programme. With MS Access, you will be able to integrate data from other databases, create and analyze reports and share information over the Internet and intranets.

ASP .NET

ASP .NET has better language support, a large set of new controls and XML based components, and better user authentication. It provides increased performance by running compiled code but it is not fully backward compatible with ASP.

ASP, CGI, HTML, Java, Perl, PHP

Your HostPlus Hosting Plan supports ASP and Java script. ASP developers commonly use Jscript or VBScript which are both supported by ASP. With Java Script you can do things such as process data gathered in HTML forms, create and store data on the user’s machine, add interactivity to graphics, change page elements on the fly based upon user input and integrate HTML data more seamlessly than with other Web based technologies. CGI: Many HTML pages that contain forms use a CGI programme to process the form's data once it's submitted. Each Web site account gets their own personal CGI where you can place your CGI scripts. Perl: Because of its strong text processing abilities, Perl has become one of the most popular languages for writing CGI scripts. PHP: Can perform any task any CGI programme can do, but its strength lies in its compatibility with many types of databases. Also, PHP can talk across networks.

CGI-BIN for your own scripts

Many HTML pages that contain forms use a CGI programme to process the form's data once it's submitted. Each Web site account gets their own personal CGI where you can place your CGI scripts.

Daily Data Back-up

A comprehensive backup of data is scheduled every day. In the event of permanent data loss, a restoration may occur that will recover your lost files.

Domain Parking

Domain Parking is when you have a Domain Name and need E-mail but don’t require a Web site. You might as well use the Global Netsaver hostplus plan as it's probably the same price of an equivalent E-mail only plan from another provider.

Domain Pointer

Domain Pointers can be used to point one Web site address to another eg. www.yourdomain.com.au could point to www.anothername.com.au which means you have two Web addresses but only one Web site. This is ideal for companies with mutiple Domain Names wanting to drive traffic to their main Web site. This is an Optional Extra and totally separate from the hostplus plan.

E-mail Accounts 15MB each

Your HostPlus Hosting Plan provides E-mail with every Web Hosting package. In fact, you can have up to 100 individual accounts (more if you need them). Each one has 15MB of storage space and that’s a lot.

E-mail Catch-all Account

E-mail may not always be addressed to you correctly. Instead of sales@yourdomain.com.au the sender may have typed salesdept@yourdomain.com.au. Instead of the E-mail bouncing back to the sender, your E-mail Catch-all will recognise it and send it on to your nominated account as long as the information after the @ symbol in the E-mail is correct.

Extra Bandwidth available

Each time your web site is accessed by a visitor, 'traffic' is generated. This includes access to a web page, image, audio, video or other areas of your site. Additionally, traffic is generated each time you upload pages or check your E-mail. If you need more than the 3GB monthly limit, you need to pay more. This is an Optional Extra and totally separate from the hostplus plan POA.

Extra Space available

This refers to how much storage space you are allowed on the Server and can be used for all Web related files including, HTML files, databases, images, CGI-scripts, multimedia files, E-mail messages, and so on. To get an idea of just how much disk space you get; 100MB is equivalent to about 2,000 average web pages! The hostplus Hosting Plan includes generous disk storage of 100MB per month but if you need more you will need to pay for it. This is an Optional Extra and totally separate from the hostplus plan and costs 10c per MB per month.

E-mail support is available 7 days a week, every day of the year. If it’s Help or Support you need, you’ve come to the right place. We get you the answers and we tackle any technical issues that might crop up and we do it as fast as possible.

FrontPage extensions

Microsoft's FrontPage is one of the most popular and easy to use Web site design and management tools on the market today. In fact, many of Global Netsaver's clients have built and maintained their Web sites using FrontPage. All of our hosting plans support FrontPage 2002 (and older) extensions.

Graphical site statistics

LiveStats shows who is currently accessing your Web site, at any given moment. It tracks which pages are hit most or least often, finds out the most common entry or exit pages, and produces graphs of the results. You can track browser brand, operating system and where site visitors came from. It generates enough informative reports to please over 740,000 Web sites that use it every day.

MySQL is the most popular open source database server in the world with more than 4 million installations powering websites, data warehouses, business applications, logging systems and more.

Raw Log Files

These files are used for statistical analysis and you can download these for compiling on your local machine.

Set-up Fee

It’s all FREE. We set-up your account for FREE; if you want us to, we’ll delegate your Domain Name too and if you want us to upload your Web site, we’ll do that for FREE as well.

Shared SSL Certificate

SSL is used to transmit sensitive information via the Internet. SSL uses a public key to encrypt data that's transferred over the SSL connection. Web sites use SSL to obtain confidential user information, such as credit card numbers. URLs that require an SSL connection start with 'https:' instead of 'http:'. We provide a shared secure Server certificate in order to support SSL to its clients FREE of charge on the hostplus plan.

SSI supported

This is a powerful tool for Web developers. Where #command can be any of various commands supported by the Web server. The simplest command is #include, which will insert the contents of another file. This is especially useful for ensuring headers and footers, are the same on all pages throughout a Web site. This means that you only need to modify the include file, instead of updating each and every web page.

Unlimited 24/7 full FTP access

You have unlimited access to your account, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. This allows you to set-up, change, or maintain your Web site at any time of the day or night.

Unlimited auto-responders

You can set-up auto-responders to automatically respond to incoming E-mail. For example, if you had an order form which your customers E-mail to you, you can set-up an auto-responder to E-mail the customer a confirmation message. There are many other uses for auto-responders, such as giving information to people who don't have access to the Internet but still have an E-mail account. There is no limit to the number of auto-responders you can have.

Unlimited E-mail forwarding

E-mail Forwarding or Aliases are E-mail addresses that you set-up such as; support@yourdomain.com.au, sales@yourdomain.com.au. Any E-mail sent to these 'aliases' would automatically be forwarded to your existing POP E-mail account or redirected to another third party account. With our advanced mail system, you can have unlimited E-mail aliases.

That’s right – if you can’t get to your computer (holiday time, interstate, overseas, where-ever) and you can connect to the Internet, then you can still operate your E-mail account as if you were sitting in front of your usual computer. It’s called Webmail and all you do is login with the User Name and Password that accompanies every hosting account. No extra charge, all included in the price.
